Why Not Jobs?
Since his State of the Union speech in January, Most of President Obama's time has been occupied fighting for and passing the health care reform bill through congress; though he has found time for a few other things, such as: taking over the role of banks, in college tuition loans, and just recently striking an elusive arms -reduction- deal with Russia.
However, a CBS/New York Times poll from February clearly showed the American people are far more concerned about unemployment than any other issue, with 52% of Americans saying jobs should be a priority; it's closest competitor being health care at only 13%.
During his address on, the State of the Union, President Obama promised to make jobs his priority. Yet, the policies that followed have been devastating to the economy; leaving business' large and small wondering what is in the wake of the President's crowning achievement; what effects it will have on current employment, and future prospects for hiring.
So why not jobs? Let's take an honest look at the "fruit" of this administration's policies. The fact is creation of jobs in the private sector only empowers the populace; whereas, the creation of 15,000 new -federal- IRS agents serves to empower the government. President Obama, and this congress are building an empire of the entitlement class in America, with plans to expand on that empire, through amnesty; while stripping American's of a voice to oppose such policies through "the fairness doctrine."
Sadly there is a large group of Americans that would like to see a weakening of our constitutional government; in favor of a more progressive, socialist form of government, and as disheartening as it is for me to say: I believe our president resides within that group.
I am not a conspiracy theorist, I am however, a realist; I believe with all my heart that you shall know a man "by his fruit," and so I ask my fellow Americans, to strip away the rhetoric of this administration, and tell me: what do you see?
Thankfully however, President Reagan defeated this attempted political over-throw of our constitutional government, by running on a platform that articulately conveyed the message of our founders, and reminded the people, of the greatness of the American entrepreneurial spirit; with that message of freedom and liberty, Reagan denied Carter of his second term, and went on bring about economic change, that became the closest resemblance of our founders intent in modern history.
By cutting taxes, shrinking the scope of the federal government, and dramatically strengthening our military; President Reagan brought about a new era of economic superiority, while giving every day Americans a sense of pride in themselves, and their government.
Listen, we have not gone too far, the simple goals of freedom and liberty are still within our grasp, However, "Our Lady Liberty" is at a crossroads; do we go the way of the European progressives, or do we hold on to our history, and continue to set this nation aside as a beacon of light upon the shores of humanity?

Great post! Yes where are the jobs? I work in health-care and the recent turn of events by this administration has caused my facility to start laying off people by the droves. 500 so far have been laid off, many that have over 30 yrs. with the hospital and are only being given a 12 severance package? Outraged, you bet! I recently learned they were closing an entire unit and taking their patients to another unit that is bigger. The clincher is that the nurses who worked on the closing unit now have to "re-apply" for the new unit. What is the message administration is sending out? They are going to phase out experienced nurses who have been with the facility for years and replace them with new graduates for less pay! Now our acute care will be affected. This is tyranny at it's best and we need to stand up and rebuke this administration with every ounce of patriotic blood we have left!

Thank you Erica, these comments are what this blog is all about. That's a story of real Americans, and the effects the policies of this administration are having on them; not some made up story about some woman wearing her "dead sister's false teeth," but 500 hard working, American families that have less today, than yesterday because of foolish decisions made in Washington D.C.
